The Museu Nacional Arqueològic de Tarragona expands its interpretative and informative resources of the TARRACO/MNAT synthesis exhibition, located in Tinglado 4 in the Moll de Costa, with the incorporation of an audio guide in four languages (Catalan, Spanish, English and French), and a catalog in two versions: Catalan/English and Spanish/French, making the exhibition more accessible to all ages, especially for the tourist public.
With a refreshing, humorous and at the same time rigorous tone, it narrates the evolution of the history of Roman Tarragona, from its origins to its decadence. The Catalan version of the audio guide, produced as part of the Visitmuseum program, is narrated by the local Agnès Busquets, who gives voice to Faustina, the main character of the audio guide who acts as a cicerone walking through the main thematic areas and the most important objects of the exhibition.
The audio guide, produced by the Agència Catalana del Patrimoni Cultural, the MNAT and Trama Media, is available to listen for free from the visitor's mobile phone through Visitmuseum or from the digital tablets that are provided in the museum facilities.
As for the exhibition catalog, published by the Museu Nacional Arqueològic de Tarragona, it presents a chronological overview of the exhibition based on texts written by the team of curators of the Museum, Josep Anton Remolà and Pilar Sada, with the collaboration of the also curator Montse Perramon and Ester Ramon, as well as the compilation of the two hundred and seven most representative pieces of the MNAT collection. It also includes graphic information and a wide selection of images of the museum installation.
